When Do the Regenerative Effects of Rejuran Appear?
Hello,
This is nbom Clinic.

As interest in skin regeneration treatments continues to grow, many people are becoming curious about Rejuran.
Today, we would like to explain how Rejuran works for skin regeneration and what you should know before considering
the treatment.

Rejuran is a skin booster treatment in which polynucleotide (PN), extracted from salmon DNA, is injected directly into the
dermal layer of the skin.
Unlike topical skincare products that only act on the epidermis, Rejuran delivers regenerative ingredients directly into
the dermis.
This helps activate the skin’s natural healing ability and improve the internal skin environment.
The DNA fragments extracted from salmon are structurally similar to human DNA, resulting in low risk of foreign body reactions
and high thermal stability. For this reason, it is generally suitable even for sensitive skin.
The key mechanism of Rejuran is stimulation of fibroblasts, which helps promote the production of collagen and other
elasticity-related components.
Aging or damaged skin often shows reduced function of basal cells and fibroblasts, and Rejuran works by supplying
regenerative materials to support recovery.

Rejuran is gaining attention not simply because it adds moisture, but because it supports the re-synthesis of essential skin
components.
In other words, it strengthens the skin’s natural regenerative capacity and helps restore overall skin health.
About four weeks after treatment, an increase in dermal density and thickness can typically be observed, contributing to
improved skin barrier function.
As a result, it is used to improve elasticity, fine lines, enlarged pores, and uneven skin texture.
It is particularly effective in thin-skinned areas prone to fine lines, such as around the eyes and mouth, as well as dry areas like
the cheekbones.
In contrast, areas with excessive oil and very large pores may respond less prominently, so focusing treatment on suitable
areas is important.

Immediately after treatment, small white raised bumps known as “embossing” may appear at the injection sites.
This indicates that the regenerative material has been properly delivered into the dermis and usually subsides within
12–24 hours.
Because the procedure involves multiple micro-injections, bruising, swelling, or discomfort may occur. In rare cases, allergic
reactions are possible.
However, most symptoms improve naturally over time and can be managed with appropriate care if necessary.
After treatment, it is recommended to avoid heavy drinking, saunas, hot baths, and intense exercise to support recovery.
Mild peeling may occur at the treatment site as part of the regeneration process, and it is best not to forcibly remove it.

Rejuran works gradually. It is advisable to wait at least two weeks before assessing noticeable changes.
Rather than expecting immediate dramatic results, it is important to understand that the treatment supports the skin’s
own recovery process.
Generally, three or more sessions at four-week intervals are recommended.
With repeated sessions, the duration of results tends to extend.
After completing three sessions, maintenance treatments every 2–3 months are often suggested.
It is known that improvement tends to increase as the number of sessions accumulates.
One of the main advantages of Rejuran is that it enhances the skin’s own regenerative ability, resulting in relatively low risk
of foreign body sensation or serious side effects.
Recovery time is short, and daily activities are usually not significantly disrupted.
It is also suitable for sensitive and delicate skin, making it meaningful from a long-term skin health perspective.
However, there are also drawbacks.
The procedure involves approximately 70–80 micro-injections per treatment area, which can be painful.
To reduce discomfort, products such as Rejuran HB Plus—formulated with local anesthetic and hyaluronic acid—have been
developed, reportedly reducing pain by more than 50%.
Additionally, because results are not immediate and at least three sessions are typically recommended, there may be time and
cost considerations. As with any treatment, results may vary depending on individual skin condition.

Rejuran is a treatment designed to support the skin’s natural regenerative ability.
Rather than delivering dramatic short-term changes, its goal is to gradually improve the skin environment through
consistent care.
Before deciding on treatment, it is important to carefully consider your skin condition, expected results, treatment schedule, and
cost.
